I am interested
in joining the Haitian Nurses Association (as are other nurses at NYU Medical
Center where I am currently employed) but have encounterd some difficulty when
trying to reach the organization. If anyone reading this message has information
about the HNA please forward a message to my email address. It was a pleasure

I'm a
USA health worker but am very interested in the health and educational issues of
the the Haitian people. How would it be possible to establish a link with
Haitian Health and Educational organizations to determine their greatest needs
and goals for the next decade. Also how would an interested person establish a
link with these organizations that would enclude posible opportunities to visit
the country for a self determination of the need for Health and Educational
assistance. Finally what are the organizations in the US that can assisist
interested individuals.

to the Haitian Health Foundation and its chief Nurse Coordinator Bette Gebrian?
Ms. Gebrian is receiving the "Eleanor K. Gill Outstanding Alumni Award from the
University of Connecticut School of Nursing for "Clinical Excellence in Nursing"
for her excellent work in Haiti. Dean Gill was my mother, and I am honored to be
able to present this award to her on September 16th.

I am working on a
project in conjunction with other students and doctors researching the status of
medical and missionary clinics in Haiti. We are hoping to develop a "directory,"
of sorts, listing all known medical and missionary clinics in Haiti. It is hoped
that a directory like this would make the clinics more efficient and productive
by allowing them to work in greater cooperation with each other. We are in the
initial inquiry stage where we are attempting to gain information regarding
weather a directory exists at this time or not. If anyone knows of such a
directory please email me. If anyone has information they find would be helpful
